PARTY FOR PARKER
October 31, 2017
Ever since Parker was born, I hoped he would be an avid reader. My wish turned out to be true (at least for now)!
Reading is one of Parker's favorite things to do. Some books he has even nearly memorized (like one of his favorites, Put Me In the Zoo, a gift from Nana Jacque, which also happens to have been one of her favorite books).
His love of books certainly helps with his speech development. Lately, he's been successfully stringing four words together. I get warm fuzzies every time, even if Parker's bossing me around. "Sit down!" is now "sit down right here!" Living with a genetic disorder that threatens to rob any progress Parker has made verbally or physically makes me treasure Parker's love of reading so much more.
Enjoy this clip of Parker reading another favorite book, Brown Bear, Brown Bean, What Do You See? with Tyler. I bet it will warm your heart.
